Sóstrast (Condolence)

Exhibition Sóstrast presented an installation with video “I thought I had a stroke like you”. The authors (Daniela Baráčková, Markéta Kubačáková, Šárka Telecká) and performers of the video at the same time created a picture about their fathers through rips of sentences or speeches that became shaping boundaries, from which the man painfully detaches himself again and again to find his identity. Here the artists with some exaggeration tried to reveal the self-construct through self-perception of the other. The main element of the exhibition became the oversized projection that enabled viewers step out from the ordinary experience and perceive internal space of the video a different way.
